| About Susan A. Seedman
Dr. Susan Seedman is a board-certified general surgeon with specialty training and expertise in breast diagnosis and treatment. She is also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Seedman is certified in breast ultrasound by the American Society of Breast Surgeons, and a member of the American College of Surgeons National Ultrasound Teaching Faculty. Karen Spielbusch
As an Advanced Practice Nurse Certified in Family Practice (CFNP), Karen Spielbusch specializes in the management of benign and malignant breast disease. She is an EduCare Certified Breast Health Navigator which addresses both the art and science of breast health care and redefines the patient's personal experience. This is a unique and special role in the Albuquerque medical community.
Karen works in a collaborative practice with Dr. Susan Seedman and assesses physical, psychological and social needs of her patients. Following her assessment, Karen consults with Dr. Seedman and together they design a care plan with desired outcomes. Karen monitors patient care and triages needed services across all product and service lines while ensuring proper access to these services. In addition, she extends to help the family learn care giving skills and patient self care skills. The desired results are enhanced patient outcomes, increased patient satisfaction, and reduced cost of care.
Prior to earning her Nurse Practitioner degree and joining Dr. Seedman, Karen worked as an RN First Assistant for the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at a local hospital and has extensive surgical experience with both breast and gynecologic care of women.
